the St. George area offers more golf than any other place in the Sunbelt.
The golf courses in Utah's Dixie are known for their challenging designs,
their well maintained fairways and greens, and their spectacular features
and very moderately priced green fees. This is a year-round golf community
with 11 great courses within a 15-minute drive from each other. In fact,
several of the top rated courses in Utah are found in Utah's Dixie.
With
blue skies and very little wind, winter daytime temperatures are generally
in the 55-to-65 degree range making for ideal conditions for a round
of 18 or more. Many local hotels offer golf packages in which they can
confirm your tee times - weeks and even several months in advance. Because
golf rates are subject to change, it is best to call and verify current
golf prices.

St. George's newest, this is a Johnny Miller designed course which is
on a fast track to becoming the premiere golf course in the State of
Utah. Known for its rolling dunes, ancient black lava beds and winding
arroyos, it is a perfect example of the Johnny Miller design philosophy:
"The natural contours of the site should dictate the design. A truly
creative designer is able to look over a property and then take it two
or three steps beyond... to visualize all that it can become." This
is a privately owned course open to the public.

Many golfers feel that Green Spring is the finest golf course in the
state. Pro Kent Danjanovich says, "The view here is spectacular." The
course is set among hills, ravines and gorges which create wonderful

which create the beautiful backdrop.Located off I-15, Green Spring is

and several teaching programs. Directed by a staff of PGA golf professionals.

Sunbrook has been rated by Golf Digest as the number one golf course
in Utah for 1997-98. Designed by the world-renowned golf course architect,
Ted Robinson, the course threads through humps and hollows above picturesque
Santa Clara River. Fairways are dotted with lakes, waterfalls, and rock
walls. Robinson considers three of its holes among the best he has ever
designed - this from a man who has created more than 1,800 golf holes.
The course features a clubhouse, snack bar and driving range. Motorized

SunRiver is located south of downtown St. George and offers an 18 hole
par 71 championship golf course. A highlight of SunRiver St. George
adult community, the course features superb views of St. George, Pine
Valley Mountain, and the vermilion cliffs north of St. George. Several
fairways sit above the banks of the Virgin River and the natural terrain
varies from riverside to desert. The layout is very fun to play, and
offers some of the best greens in the state. No matter where a player's

Sky Mountain. Set on rolling terrain south of the highway near the west
entrance to Hurricane, Sky Mountain Golf Course is one more outstanding
jewel in the crown of courses in Washington County.With its multiple
tee boxes, golfers of all skill levels enjoy play at Sky Mountain. Water
comes into play on par 4 #11, par 3 #12, and par 4 #7. Natural black
lava outcroppings have been left in place, creating an interesting contrast
throughout the course. Sky Mountain has a clubhouse, restaurant and
cart rentals. Tee times are taken every Mon. morning beginning at 7:00
a.m. for the next Mon. through Sun.
